ULFA Chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa Released on Bail; Says Ready for Talks

ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa today strolled complimentary from prison on bail and declared his readiness for an “outright” tranquility discussion with the Assam Federal government, which prompted that the ban on the outfit might be raised ahead of the talks.

“We are dedicated to peace in Assam and take the tranquility process forward. We are all set for genuine peace negotiation,” the 54-year-old ULFA leader informed his supporters outside the Gauhati Central Prison, where he was lodged for over a year.

He was launched two days after a designated TADA court purchased his launch on bail.

Rajkhowa asked ULFA cadres not to make departments in the ranks and enticed to individuals not to be “antsy” over the problem of peace negotiation.

He, nevertheless, appealed for the release of ULFA main council members Sasha Choudhury and Chitraban Hazarika also to allow them to take part in a meeting to select the peace negotiation.
